Our day at "Magoon"

Don't try to correct him, it's called "Magoon" and he's stickin' to it. So here we were last Wednesday (I'm a little behind) in all our 100 degree + sticky sweatiness! It was a fun day, complete with "those bump cars" which were M's favorite, and the "hssskkcppp" (this is E's horse noise) carousel. I think the go home for nap and lunch was essential. DH rode all the major rides with our friend Kent while we were home for naps, most of which I was okay with. No desire to go on the new ride, Wicked. I did go on the ride that drops you from a great height. Not sure why, I was hoarse from screaming, almost peed my pants, and my shoulder is still sore. I guess it was so I could brag about it on my blog. he he

Pretend Kitchen

So I finally got around to painting the pretend kitchen pieces we have collected from the DI. They are all set up in our dining room and I got some little place settings and cookware at IKEA the other day to go with all the random food we have. It is really cute and the boys love it! It is hot, but today is not sunny so the boys have enjoyed playing outside and I have weeded a lot.

In other news, E is now 15 mos. I can't believe it! Here is his picture with George to commemorate the occasion.

Mommy, will there be horse poop at the parade?

He just dares to say what we are all wondering.

So it was two days of sugar, no sleep, fireworks, burnt fingers, yummy food, friends, bug spray, family, more fireworks, a parade,(complete with the much-anticipated horse poop) more friends, popcicles, swimming, sunscreen, ice cream, sand, mom's "pink blankets," red, white, and blue clothes, cousins, and fun.

Once again, the Hyrum parade was graced with the presence of our ever-growing McMurdie family, with plenty of LaBaus there this year. We had a great time and M even managed a 2 hour nap in the midst of a 80+ person BBQ. They got to be around a lot of friends and cousins, and they caught a lot of candy. What more is there, really?

Also, happy birthday to Aunt Noelle and Uncie Colin!

The lazy days of summer

Not much to blog about lately. We made popcicles out of grape juice and now the back deck is purple :) It is very hot out. We have been watching LOST from the beginning on DVD (we'd never seen it) and are about to start season 3. That, and I'm reading The Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett. M and I have been to Cherry Hill twice in the last week, E once. We know that E's blood levels are holding steady, and I take him in on Thursday for another blood draw to see if they have gone up. (hopefully) We went to see Ratatouille at the drive-in Friday night, which is always an adventure with the kiddos. It was a cute show and M LOVED it, which I thought he would since he loves cooking.

We are looking forward to lots of fireworks, a parade, etc... this week. I hope you all have an awesome 4th!
