So I guess this really is "Day 1" of actual park days. Anyway, we went to The Animal Kingdom.
We got on the bus for the first time and got there plenty early and were there at rope drop in the front. They did a cute little show to say "good morning" and mom went straight ahead to get us all Fastpasses (for later) for the big ride there "Expedition Everest" She got those, then we all rode it taking turns out with the boys. It was fun. While DH and I were riding, they took the boys on a dinosaur kiddie ride. Then all but me and E rode Dinosaur, which M says is the scariest ride at all of Disneyworld. He was brave, but sure didn't enjoy it. E and I hung around. Then we all went to Finding Nemo, the Musical. It was really cute! It wasn't in our plans to go, but we decided to do it instead of the bird show, since it was air-conditioned. We were not yet used to the staggering heat/humidity combination and were feeling it. They used puppets and the puppeteers were the speaking/singing voices. It was really well done and I enjoyed the music. E was rivited, and he had been doing a lot of waiting around, so I was glad he got to see this. Then mom went to get Fastpasses for the Safari, while the rest of us went to "It's Tough to be a bug." I had E leave off the 3-D glasses, since it would have scared him. It is a show where bugs pop out, air and water spray, etc.... M really enjoyed it and I thought it was cute. We met mom back at Expedition Everest and all rode another time with our Fastpasses. The picture here on the bridge shows Everest in the background. It's really big. Then we split up for lunch at 3 different fast food type places. We sat together to eat and there was this Monkey statue that my dad was obsessed with. Then it was time for the Safari! It's in the "Africa" part of Animal Kingdom and it was really cool theming. There were drummers and a street market atmosphere. The Safari guide was really cheesy and we couldn't really understand him very well. (He kept saying "porches" and we finally figured out he meant "poachers") We saw a ton of animals, though, just out there together. It was cool. It was time to head over to see "Festival of the Lion King" but E fell asleep. Come on E, this is the last thing! He just couldn't hold on any longer, so because they don't allow strollers very many places in Disney World, someone had to sit outside with him for over an hour while we line up, wait, and see the show. I feel really bad, but it ended up being DH, and he missed a LOT! Me, whit, mom, and M sat on the VERY front row, and during the show, M got picked to come up and dance and play an instrument! He had the time of his life, and it was such a cool show it was way fun seeing him get to participate. I feel really bad DH missed this show. At one point in the trip we even tried to go back, but the boys took too long a nap.
We got our picture taken in front of the Tree of Life and hit the gift shop. My dad bought the boys a pressed penny holder and so started the buying of the pressed pennies, which we did a lot throughout the trip. We were so hot and tired by then. Some of us went to the pool for a swim. It had a big alligator dragon slide and tons of cute theming. After a whole summer of going to Cherry Hill, I was still (by far) the whitest person there.
That night, we went to Downtown Disney again. (This time by bus) We took the boys to a toy store and they each picked a toy. E picket a star wars set and they both helped do the "Build your own Mr. Potato Head" station, where we crammed a set-price box as full of disney-themed potato-head parts as we could. We bought some ornaments at the Christmas store, got me a cute picture frame and the World of Disney and of course hit the LEGO store once more. DH, Chase, Riley, Me, and E went to Wolfgang Puck Cafe (different one this time, a nicer sit-down) I had the pumpkin raviolli which was amazing, and their famous Carrot Cake for dessert. We met up with the others, who had eaten at Planet Hollywood, and hit the ornament store one more time before heading to the busses. This was kind of a later night than we expected, and we felt it the next day.

That sounds like an exhausting but super fun day. M looked so cute on stage. I bet he had a blast.
