Disneyworld Trip, Day 1

I am trying to sneak in a little blogging between all the insane busyness of my week at the urging of DH, who thinks people want to know about our trip, so here goes, day 1:

We left home by 7ish and went to mom and dad's to help carry some luggage, then off to the airport. We had hoped to get there and wait in the crown room, but they wouldn't let dad bring that many in. We were able to change our seats so we were sitting together- we were all over the place before.

So after breakfast at the airport, we got on the plane and it was not too bad. About 4 hours (direct flight) and the boys slept part of the time. We got to Orlando and got on the "Magical Express" which takes you to your resort while showing you videos. Anyway, our resort was Port Orleans French Quarter and it was really pretty. We got checked in and found our rooms and whatnot. Here are some pictures from around the resort.

Then we got on the boat they have there that takes you to Downtown Disney. On a recommendation from a friend (thanks Allie!) we ate dinner at Wolfgang Puck Express and it was really good! Then we explored the stores for a while before heading back to try and get to sleep at a descent hour Eastern time. The highlight (of course) was the LEGO store, where all 3 of my boys had the time of their lives. Many souvenirs were purchased here.

We didn't get to bed as early as we would have liked, but we sure had fun shopping!

Holy blogging, Batman! A 'little' blogging, you say? Ha! *wink*

That looks like a perfect start to an awesome trip :)
