Well, we have been really busy this last week with a trip to the zoo, getting pumpkins, a ward halloween party, and going to Gardner Village to "ride with a witch." Crazy fun and lots of work. I am cleaning the house today and making games for our playgroup halloween party tomorrow (here) and the boys are crazy as ever.

Pokes today

Sorry about all the changes to my blog template. I guess I still haven't figured out who I am. I need to take a minute and figure out how to make it look better by changing the code, but I never get the time.

Thanks to everyone to voting on my poll about E's hair. I will not be cutting it. M however..... well, the closest thing I can describe him looking like lately is a warewolf. Also, I really like Christina Applegate's new hair and am thinking about cutting mine yet again. Long hair is just too hard to maintain, but short makes me look older and fatter, so I never know what to do. I just don't want people thinking I'm a lot older than I am, ya know?

Also, I got out my journal last night, thinking "it's been maybe even like 2 years since I've written in this, I should really catch up." Well, when I opened it up it had been over 5 years since I'd written in it! Of course, it took me a long time to try and re-cap each year and start writing again. But I got feeling really prompted to start writing, so here I go. I'll try, but the blogging may suffer. Just a warning to all 2 people that care!

The boys each got 3 shots today. (well, E got two shots and once iron test) E's iron is back to normal levels! I decided to go ahead and do the Chicken Pox vaxes, which I'd been holding off and which I still don't know if I feel okay about doing. But what's done is done. New research came out on the effects of Chicken Pox on Asthama and I really don't want M's asthama getting worse. I guess that's what made me change my mind. Of course my Ped. is stoked, since she is probably the most pro-vax Dr. I've gone to so far. She was amazed at E's growth. He is now only 50% for weight he has slimmed down so much. He's also very tall for his age.

M is average for all, as usual. She reassured me he was normal for hating all peels, crusts, and pajamas without buttons. At least we've successfully given up the binki! Now, insted, he just gets out of bed every 5 minutes at night and strips naked. Isn't 3 fun!

Our first time in Nursery

Today I went to nursery for the first time ever. Kind of rare for the mother of a 3 year old, but it's true. Yesterday E turned 18 mos. and joined his brother in nursery for the first time today! He did fine until (and I could have predicted this) someone took "his" toy, then there was no calming him down and was screaming for me. I teach Valiant 10 with the DH right next door so I could easily hear him and went in to investigate.
It was interesting to be in there. While they struggled to get them to sit on little squares of carpet, a lady who I can only assume was trying to teach a lesson was up there talking to herself about being grateful for animals. The one girl in there was listening, I think. (she had her eyes closed) The 7 boys were all poking each other in the ears, taking off various articles of clothing, climbing into the closet, picking gum off the bottom of chairs, and one was still trying to say a prayer I think. It was crazier than I thought and I truly feel for the sunbeam teachers who inherit many of these kids in January. I eventually snuck back out and E did pretty well the rest of the time. The teacher was in the hall "for a walk" with him when I went to pick him up, but he was okay. Just had to get out of that closet-sized room that nursery #4 meets in. I guess I've been lucky until now with M. We sent him a few months early even, but he's never once cried or had a problem. Here is a picture of E with the picture he "colored" on his first day!

Superhero Picnic

It's been quite a week already. I hate stomach flu! E has been throwing up constantly for the past few days, which is hard because he's too young to understand what is going on, or to tell me anything. So, 7 loads of laundry later, and I still have another load ready to go. At least it's only been on the carpet once. Oy.

In other news, there are some funny pictures of the week. My favorite being Capitan America, Wolverine, Spider Man, and the Incredible Hulk all having a jolly lunch together at a pink little people picnic table.

DH in his new suit going to the Priesthood Session. BTW, I really loved conference this year. The kids seemed a little more cooperative this time, and I enjoyed quilting on a quilt I haven't worked on for like 2 years.

M & E "saying cheese" from their favorite box hangout.

That's all. Thank you for your time. And a big thank you to Summer for making us dinner last night, that was a lifesaver. We quite enjoyed it!

Cute things the boys do

This video is of the cute thing E does lately. He says "dance" then does a dance!

The cute thing M says lately is "are we having big dinner or little dinner?" Big dinner means I made it right then. Little dinner is leftovers. (unfortunately, lately with all the painting, it's been "little dinner" quite often)

Buzz Lightyear Party

So now that I've figured out the problem with posting pictures, I'll put on the pictures of the Family B-Day Party, which was a Buzz Lightyear Party (what else?) It was really fun. The boys were the only kids, so they got plenty of attention. Also, I bought much of the dinner from Maddox and so didn't have to cook much, which is always a stress-reducer. Anyways, here it is:

Crazy quotes

You Jack Handy fans will be proud to know that today, in answer to a question, M replied: "that's why so is mankind." I just knew it was in his genes and would come out eventually.

And also, you're drunk.

If you don't know what the heck I'm talking about, don't worry about it.

Thanks Sum, I really needed to be reminded of the past ;)

5 Things I was doing 10 years ago:
